Foz do Iguazu

We crossed the border into Brazil at Foz do Iguazu, which also borders with Paraguay. Foz provides a launching point to one of the most beautiful natural attractions we’ve seen in our travels so far: Iguazu Falls. Stunning, majestic and powerful, these falls are beyond spectacular. In Foz itself we got to partake in the smorgasbord meals and colourful entertainment on offer at a Churrascaria.

Bonito

This small town is situated within a Nature Reserve, so there’s plenty to do and explore here. We arrived during the low season, which created a ghost-town feel at times. The snorkelling here is amazing, as the water is protected to preserve its crystal-clear appearance.

Southern Pantanal

The Pantanal is a wetland-region in Brazil. We had the opportunity to stay on a ranch/reserve situated in the Pantanal, with plenty of activities to do during the day, and plenty of wildlife to spot at night!

Paraty

Paraty sounds like the words “pirate” and “party” mushed together, which is appropriate as one of Paraty’s main attractions are boat tours, which offer Caipirinhas and gorgeous views of crystal blue waters and stunning green islands.

Rio de Janeiro

When my baby smiles at me - I probably will think of Rio from now on! From Copacabana, to Sugar Loaf mountain, to Christ the Redeemer, to the Selaron Steps, to the amazing architecture and street art: everything about Rio is iconic and colourful. Every turn captivates with something new to capture your attention and move you.
