Our love for travel emerged very early in our relationship. It came from a desire to learn more from the world’s many fascinating cultures and people. Our philosophy about travel is that so much can be learned from immersing yourself amongst other traditions, cultures and experiences. It’s not about finding ourselves or escaping from the responsibilities of adult-ing, rather it’s about growing ourselves and enrichening our family life and values.

When we travel we try to do so as simply and on as tight a budget as possible. Less stuff enables us to be more present to each other and to the places and people we visit. We also look for opportunities where we can get more involved and closer to the local experience, through volunteering or local immersion.

Even while we were dating, we dreamed up an incredible journey: to spend an extended time abroad, living, volunteering and venturing to places neither of us had ever been. So, in December 2017, after leaving jobs, friends and family, we embarked on a journey with no firm end-date in mind. We Venture and the vision and values that frame our lifestyle, was born from the planning of this trip and continues to grow through our adventures abroad.
